DRAFT NOTIFICATION The draft of the Karnataka Lokayukta (Cadre, Recruitment and Conditions of Service of the Officers and Employees) Rules, 1988 (Karnataka Act 4 of 1985), which the following Government of Karnataka proposes to make amendment, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 15 read with clause (c) of sub-section (2) of section 23 of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1984 (Karnataka Act 4 of 1985), the Government of Karnataka hereby published for the information of all the persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Any objections or suggestions which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above, will be considered by the State Government. Short title and commencement.-(1) This Rules may be called the Karnataka Lokayukta (Cadre, Recruitment and Conditions of Service of the Officers and Employees) (Amendment) Rules, 2022. Amendment of Second Schedule.- In the Second Schedule to the Karnataka Lokayukta (Cadre, Recruitment and Conditions of Service of the Officers and Employees) Rules, 1988,- Under the heading “POLICE WING”, for the category of posts of “Police Inspector” and “Sub-Inspector of Police” and entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:- SCHEDULE-II POLICE WING Category of post Method of Recruitment Minimum Qualification Inspector of Police i.
