S.O. 2131(E).— Amendment to PMP for N2 and N3 category of e-Trucks under the PM Electric Drive
Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) Scheme
1. The PM E-DRIVE Scheme was notified by the Ministry of Heavy Industries vide S.O. 4259(E) dated 29th
September 2024. The Phased Manufacturing Programme (PMP) for e-Trucks was notified by MHI vide S.O. 3081
(E) dated 10th July 2025 and further amended by S.O. 4481(E) on 30th September 2025 and S.O. 1331(E) on 13th

2. Now Sr. No. 5,6 & 7 of the PMP of e-Trucks (N2/N3) is further amended as below with effect from date of its
publication in the Official Gazette.

software/firmware flashing shall be domestically performed.
With effect from 1st September 2026
Manufacturing of Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) which at least includes assembly of
electronic components/ semiconductors/connectors on the PCB, wiring, connector fitment,
heat- sink fitment, enclosure fitment, software/firmware flashing shall be domestically
performed.
