NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT ENERGY DEPARTMENT AMENDMENT TO THE TAMIL NADU ELECTRICITY RESTRUCTURING AND TRANSFER SCHEME, 2024. [G.O. Ms. No. 40, Energy (B2), 21st April 2025, சித்திரைை 8, விசுவாாவாசு, திருவாள்ளுவார் ஆண்டு-2056.] No. II(1)/EGY/7(h)/2025. In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (4), (5) and (6) of section 131 and section 133 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (Central Act 36 of 2003), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Electricity Restructuring and Transfer Scheme, 2024:- Amendments. In the said Scheme,- (1) In clause 2, in sub-clause(1),- (i) after item(m), the following item shall be inserted, namely:- “m(a). “Subsidiaries of TNEB Limited” means the TNPDCL, TNPGCL, TNGECL and TANTRANSCO”; (ii) after item(o), the following item shall be inserted, namely:- “o(a). “Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL), “means, the erstwhile TANGEDCO company which is continuing with the business of power distribution/supply”; (iii) after item (t), the following item shall be inserted, namely:- “t(a). “Transferor” means the erstwhile State Generation Company-cum-Distribution licensee (TANGEDCO) established under the Electricity Act, 2003 from which its Thermal Energy Generation and Green Energy Undertakings have been transferred in accordance with this transfer scheme.”; (2) in clause 3, sub-clause (2) shall be omitted; (3) in clause 4, for sub-clause (6), the following sub-clause shall be substituted, namely:- “(6) The transfer of the Undertakings to the transferees in terms of this Scheme took effect on the appointed date. The transferor has functioned as an agent of the transferees for statutory filings, tax returns, coordination with lenders and other operational matters. The transferor shall cease to act as an agent of the transferees with effect from 01.04.2025.”; (4) in clause 8, in sub-clause (1), for the expression “ for a period one year from date of transfer” the expression “for a period upto 30.06.2025” shall be substituted; Ex-II-1(175) [ 1 ]2 TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY (5) in Schedule A, for “Part II”, the following Part shall be substituted namely:- “Part II.
