Executive Summary & Key Takeaways

**Summary:** This Public Notice, No. 46/2023, issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade on March 6, 2024, amends the implementation procedures for the Yellow Peas Import Monitoring System (YPIMS) concerning yellow peas with ITC HS Code 07131010 arriving at Indian ports after March 31, 2024. Specifically, it supersedes paragraph b of Public Notice 35/2023 dated December 13, 2023. Instead of requiring YPIMS registration five days before the expected arrival date, importers must now register within seven days from the date of the Bill of Lading or seven days from the date of this Public Notice, whichever is later. The notice also mandates the declaration of "Shipped on Board" details from the Bill of Lading during YPIMS registration, allowing for multiple Bills of Lading under a single registration. Finally, importers are required to upload all copies of Bills of Lading (Shipped on Board) during registration, with the option to mask exporter details. This notice is issued under the authority of paragraphs 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023 and references Notifications 50/2023 and 61/2023.
