Ms. No. 306, Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowments (RE4-2), 6th September 2024, ஆவணி 21, குர�ோதி, திருவள்ளுவர் ஆண்டு-2055.] No. SRO A-18/2024.—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (xxii) of sub-section (2) of section 116 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 (Tamil Nadu Act 22 of 1959), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Management and Preservation of Properties of Religious Institutions Rules:- Amendments. In the said Rules,− (1) in rule 2, in sub-rule (i), - (a) in clause (a), for the expression “Rs.1,00,00,000/-”, the expression “Rs.2,00,00,000/-” shall be substituted; (b) in clause (b), for the expression “Rs.15,00,000/- but does not exceed Rs.1,00,00,000/-”, the expression “Rs.25,00,000/- but does not exceed Rs.2,00,00,000/-” shall be substituted; (c) in clause (c), in item (i), for the expression “Rs.15,00,000/-” the expression “Rs.25,00,000/-” shall be substituted; (3) in rule 23, in sub-rule (1), in the tabular column, (i) for the entry “Above Rs.10,00,000/- up to Rs.15,00,000/-” in column (1), against the entry “the Executive Engineer of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department” in column (2) thereof, the entry “Above Rs.10,00,000/- up to Rs.25,00,000/-” shall be substituted; (ii) for the entry “Above Rs.15,00,000/- up to Rs.1,00,00,000/-” in column (1), against the entry “Superintending Engineer of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department” in column (2) thereof, the entry “Above Rs.25,00,000/- up to Rs.2,00,00,000/-” shall be substituted; (iii) for the entry “Rs.1,00,00,001/- and above” in column (1), against the entry “Chief Engineer of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department” in column (2) thereof, the entry “Rs.2,00,00,001/- and above” shall be substituted.
