NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT LABOUR WELFARE AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT AMENDMENTS TO THE TAMIL NADU MANUAL WORKERS (CONSTRUCTION WORKERS) WELFARE SCHEME,1994 [G.O.Ms. No.53, Labour Welfare and Skill Development [I2], 3rd June 2025, வைைகாாசி 20, விசுைாைசு, திருைள்ளுைர் ஆண்டு-2056.] No. II(1)/LWSD/10(d)/2025. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982 (Tamil Nadu Act 33 of 1982), the Governor of Tamil Nadu, after consultation with the Advisory Committee, hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Construction Workers) Welfare Scheme, 1994. Amendments. “In the said Scheme,- (1) in clause 15, - (a) in sub-clause (1), in the TABLE, after the entries in Serial Number 12 in column (1) and the corresponding entries relating thereto, the following Serial Number and the corresponding entries relating thereto, shall be added, namely: - “13 EE(2) Studying Full-time Ph.D course in 15,000 15,000 15,000 15,000.”; recognized Universities / Institutions (for 3 years only) (b) after sub-clause (3-a), the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely; - “(3-b) The application for assistance specified in Serial Number 13 shall be in Form EE (2) in Schedule II to be submitted after successful admission or enrollment.”; (2) in Schedule II, after Form EE (1), the following Form shall be inserted, namely: - Ex-II-1—(253) [1]2 TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY ““FFOORRMM –– EEEE ((22)) [see clause 15(1) (3-b)] APPLICATION FOR EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE FOR CHILDREN STUDING IN DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (Ph.D ) (FULL TIME) COURSE IN RECOGNISED UNIVERSITIES / INSTITUTIONS To The Assistant Commissioner of Labour (Social Security Scheme) ………………………District. 1. Eligibility conditions: - (i) Claimants should be children of a member registered with the Tamil Nadu Construction Workers Welfare Board. (ii) Post Graduate Degree certificate with minimum of 55 marks. (iii) Bonafide Certificate from the Head of the Department or Principal and Guide of concerned University or Affiliated Colleges. (iv) Research Advisory Committee report for corresponding academic year. (v) Claimants shall not receive educational assistance for Ph.D under any other schemes.TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY 3 DECLARATION BY THE APPLICANT* I hereby declare that the particulars furnished above are correct and true to the best of my knowledge. In the event of any of the information given above is ultimately found to be false, I hereby agree to refund in full, the amount received as assistance for the marriage of self/daughter/son. I also hereby declare that I have not received similar benefits by claim from any other welfare Board or Boards constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu or under any other Government Schemes.
