NOTIFICATION Applications are invited to fill up the posts of Chairperson and Member in Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Bengaluru established under sub-section (1) of Section 20 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016. The relevant details are as under:- Sl. Number Name of Post Eligibility, Knowledge and Experience No. of Posts 1 Chairperson 1 (One) Persons having adequate knowledge and professional experience of at-least (20) twenty years in urban development, housing, real estate development, infrastructure, economics, technical experts from relevant fields, planning, law, commerce, accountancy, industry, management, social service, public affairs or administration. Provided that a person who is, or has been, in the service of the State Government shall not be appointed as a Chairperson unless such person has held the post of Additional Secretary to the Central Government or any equivalent post in the Central Government or State Government. 2 Member 1 (One) Persons having adequate knowledge and professional experience of at-least (15) fifteen years in urban development, housing, real estate development, infrastructure, economics, technical experts from relevant fields, planning, law, commerce, accountancy, industry, management, social service, public affairs or administration. Provided further that a person who is, or has been, in the service of the State Government shall not be appointed as a Member unless such person has held the post of Secretary to the State Government or any equivalent post in the State Government or Central Government. (1)2 TERM OF OFFICE: The Chairperson and Member shall hold office for a term not exceeding five years from the date on which they enter upon their office, or until they attain the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier and shall not be eligible for re-appointment. SALARY AND ALLOWANCES PAYABLE AND OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: (i) As prescribed in Rule 19 of the Karnataka Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017. (ii) The other allowances and conditions of service of Chairperson and whole time Member shall be such as may be determined by the appropriate Government from time to time.
