NOTIFICATION
No.155/KT-LC/2020(2)- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the Election
Commission of India hereby appoints, in addition to the officers appointed vide its
Notification No. 155/KT-LC/2007(2), dated 27th September, 2007, as amended from time
to time, the following officers of Government as specified in Column (2) of the TABLE
below, as Assistant Returning Officers to assist the Returning Officer of the Council
Constituency in the State of Karnataka, specified in Column (1) of the said TABLE, in the
performance of functions of such Returning Officer:-

2. The above appointment of Assistant Returning Officers is for the purpose of
counting of votes in connection with biennial elections to the Karnataka Legislative
Council from the Graduates’ and Teachers’ Constituencies notified vide Notification No.
322/KT-LC-G&T/2020, dated 01st October, 2020. Their appointment as Assistant
Returning Officers shall cease to be in force on completion of the current biennial elections
from the above mentioned Constituencies.
