Kamble. 2. Before taking charge as Chairperson of the Authority, the person so appointed shall, as a condition precedent, vacant office, if any, under the State/Central Government or any Public Undertaking or any Government body held by him or is otherwise gainfully employed or engaged in the service of any person, either by way of resignation or taking voluntary retirement from such service. 3. The term of the Chairperson shall be for a period of five years from the date of his assumption of charge of the post or till he attains the age of sixty five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, and he shall not be eligible for re- appointment. The appointment of Chairperson is governed by the terms of appointment laid down in the Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act, 2016 read with the Karnataka Real Estate (Regulation & Development)Rules, 2017, and amendments thereon from time to time. 5. The salary and allowances of the Chairperson shall be in terms of Rule, 19 of the Karnataka Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Rules, 2017 and amendments thereon from time to time.
