NOTIFICATION WHEREAS Shri Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister of Karnataka has recommended that Justice Sri B.Veerappa, Former Judge, High Court of Karnataka, be appointed as an Upalokayukta of Karnataka. WHEREAS this recommendation has been made after consulting the Chief Justice of the High Court of Karnataka, the Speaker, Karnataka Legislative Assembly, the Chairman, Karnataka Legislative Council and Leaders of Opposition in both the Houses of Karnataka Legislature and also in accordance with the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, in CIVIL APPEAL of 2012 [Arising out of SLP (Civil) Nos.15658-15660 of 2012 and 16512-16514 of 2012]. O R D E R Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers vested in me under section 3(1) of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1984 (Karnataka Act No.4 of 1985), I, THAAWARCHAND GEHLOT, Governor of Karnataka, hereby appoint Justice B.Veerappa, Former Judge, High Court of Karnataka, as the Upalokayukta of Karnataka State.
