**Summary:**
As of July 29, 2025, the Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, has approved fisheries development proposals worth Rs. 21,274.16 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY), with a central government share of Rs. 9,189.79 crore. These approvals are based on proposals received from various State Governments, Union Territories, and other End Implementing Agencies, spanning the period from 2020-21 to 2024-25.
A key component of the PMMSY is the development of Integrated Aquaparks, designed to strengthen the aquaculture value chain. To this end, the Ministry has approved proposals for the development of 11 integrated aqua parks across various states, with a total project cost of Rs 682.60 crore.
State-wise cumulative investment approved under PMMSY includes Andaman and Nicobar (Rs 5822.10 Lakhs), Andhra Pradesh (Rs 240552.67 Lakhs), Arunachal Pradesh (Rs 20028.09 Lakhs), Assam (Rs 54162.88 Lakhs), Bihar (Rs 54850.48 Lakhs), Chattisgarh (Rs 93211.45 Lakhs) among other states and union territories.
State-wise details of the Integrated Aqua Parks approved under PMMSY includes Andhra Pradesh(Rs 8808.00 Lakhs), Arunachal Pradesh (Rs 4359.04 Lakhs), Assam (Rs 3296.61 Lakhs), Chattisgarh (Rs 3710.69 Lakhs), Haryana (Rs 9890.00 Lakhs) among other states.

Aqua Parks under PMMSY

The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, based on the
proposals received from various State Governments, Union Territories and other End Implementing
Agencies, has so far approved fisheries development proposals worth Rs.21,274.16 crore with
central share of Rs. 9,189.79 crore underthe Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).
The State-wise details of the projects approved during the last five years (2020-21 to 2024-25)
under PMMSY are furnished at Annexure-I.
The Integrated Aquaparks act as hubs of multifarious fisheries to strengthen the aquaculture value chain by
providing end to end infrastructure from seed, feed and farming support to processing, cold chain and market
access. They enable cluster-based efficiency, reduce post harvest losses and enhance farmers income through
value addition and organised marketing. The Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal
Husbandry and Dairying under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) has accorded
approvals to the proposals of various State Governments for development of a total 11 integrated aqua parks
at a total cost of Rs 682.60 crore. The State-wise details of integrated aqua parks approved under PMMSY are
furnished at Annexure-II.
