Claims and objections received directly from electors showed 36,475 claims for inclusion of eligible electors and 217,049 objections for exclusion of ineligible electors with 40,630 exclusions disposed of after 7 days. Additionally, 1,656,886 Form 6 declarations were received from new electors attaining 18 years of age or above, including 45 forms from BLAs, with 91,462 disposed of after 7 days.
As per rules, the concerned Electoral Registration Officer/Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (ERO/AERO) will dispose of claims and objections after a minimum 7-day notice period and verification of eligibility. No names can be deleted from the draft list without a speaking order from the ERO/AERO, an enquiry, and a fair opportunity. The list of names not included in the draft electoral roll is available on the websites of District Election Officers/District Magistrates (DEOs/DMs) and the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in searchable mode with EPIC number.
Aggrieved persons can submit claims in Form 6 with a copy of their Aadhaar card. Any elector of the Assembly Constituency can file specific objections in Form 7. BLAs can also submit specific claims in Form 6 and file objections in Form 7 with the prescribed declaration. Any person not an elector of that Assembly Constituency can file a specific objection with a declaration/oath as per Rule 203 b of the RER 1960.
The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) has been ongoing in Bihar since June 24, 2025. The draft list was published on August 1, 2025, based on Enumeration Forms received during field-level inquiries by BLOs and BLAs, and shared with the 12 recognized political parties in Bihar.
