Directly from Electors, the ECB received 178,948 claims for inclusion of eligible electors and 20,702 objections for the exclusion of ineligible electors. 635,124 forms were received from new electors (Form 6).
The ECB emphasizes that claims and objections must be disposed of after a 7-day notice period and verification of eligibility. No names can be deleted from the draft list without a speaking order from the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO)/Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), following an inquiry and a fair opportunity for the individual. A list of names not included in the draft electoral roll is available on the websites of District Election Officers (DEOs)/District Magistrates (DMs) and the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), searchable by EPIC number.
Eligible electors who have been left out of the draft roll can file Claim Form 6 with a copy of their Aadhaar card before September 1, 2025. Objections to the inclusion of ineligible electors can be filed in Form 7 by any elector of the relevant Assembly Constituency before September 1, 2025. BLAs appointed by recognized political parties can also submit collected Form 6 claims and Form 7 objections. Individuals who are not electors of the Assembly Constituency can file specific objections with a declaration/oath as per Rule 203 b of the Registration of Electors Rules, 1960.
