Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment Blood Donation Camp organized by DEPwD on National Voluntary Blood Donation Day Posted On: 01 OCT 2025 6:26PM by PIB Delhi On the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) organized a Blood Donation Camp at Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for Persons with Physical Disabilities (PDDU-NIPPD), New Delhi. The camp was organized in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Delhi, and Thalassemia India. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Sharma, Director, PDDU-NIPPD, who highlighted the crucial role of blood donation in saving human lives. He also emphasized the institute’s commitment to organize more such camps in the near future. Officials, employees, and students from various organizations under DEPwD, including National Trust, National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC), Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC), and others actively participated in the camp.
