( ) MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (Railway Board) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 13th February, 2014 S.O. 398(E).ÑÑÑÑWhereas, by notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways number S.O. 827(E), dated the 22nd March, 2013, issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Metro Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978 (33 of 1978), published in Part II, Section 3, sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, dated the 25th March, 2013, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire land, building, street, road, passage or the right of user or easement therein, specified in the Schedule appended to the said notification, for the purpose of construction of Metro Railway from New Garia to Titumir station of New Garia – Dum Dum Airport Project and other works connected therewith in the metropolitan city of Kolkata;¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(ii)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 7 And, whereas a total number of fifty-two objections were received and same have been considered and an opportunity of being heard has been given to the objector and the same disposed off by the competent authority; And, whereas the Central Government on the report of the Competent Authority is satisfied that the lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or the right of users or easement therein, specified in the Schedule appended to the said notification, are required for the above said purpose; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 10 of the Metro Railways (Construction of Works) Act, 1978, the central government do hereby acquires the land, building, street, road, passage or the right of user or easement therein, specified in the Schedule appended to the notification; The plan of the areas, specified in the Schedule which are acquired, is available for inspection in the office of the competent authority namely, Shri Arup Kumar Das, competent authority, Metro Railway, at 39/1, Rash Behari Avenue, (1st Floor), Kolkata-700026.
