2. यतः, इस प्रकार हुई ररजक्त को भरिे के प्रयोिि स ेउप-जिर्ााचि कराया िािा ह;ै
3. अतः, अब, लोक प्रजतजिजधत्र् अजधजियम, 1951 (1951 का 43) की धारा 149 की उपधारा (1) तथा धारा 30
और 56 के अिुसरण में जिर्ााचि आयोग एतद्द्वाराः-

अिुसार लोक सभा में उक्त ररजक्त को भरिे के प्रयोिि स ेएक व्यजक्त को जिर्ााजचत करें; और
(आ) उक्त जिर्ााचि के सम्बन्ध म ें :-

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 17th March, 2022
O.N. 7(E).—WHEREAS, the seat of Shri Babul Supriyo, in the House of the People elected from
40-Asansol Parliamentary Constituency in the State of West Bengal, has become vacant on 22nd October, 2021 by
reason ofhis resignation; and
2. WHEREAS, a bye-election is to be held for the purpose of filling the said vacancy;
3. NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of Section 149 and Sections 30 and 56 of the
Representation of the People Act, 1951(43 of 1951),the Election Commission hereby :-
A. calls upon the said 40-AsansolParliamentary Constituency in the State of West Bengal, to elect, before the
18th April, 2022 (Monday) and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the rules and orders
made thereunder, a person for the purpose of filling the said vacancy in the said House of the People; and
B. appoints, with respect to the said election:-
a) the 24th March, 2022 (Thursday), as the last date for making nominations;
b) the 25th March, 2022 (Friday), as the date for the scrutiny of nominations;
c) the 28th March, 2022 (Monday), as the last date for withdrawal of candidatures;
d) the 12th April, 2022 (Tuesday), as the date on which a poll shall, if necessary, be taken;
e) the 18th April, 2022 (Monday), as the date before which the election shall be completed; and
C. fixes the hours from 07:00 AM to 06:30 PM, as the hoursduring which the poll shall, if necessary, be taken on
the date specified for the said election.
