To commemorate the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026, a community yoga session was
jointly organised by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Field Office Nagpur, Press
Information Bureau (PIB), Nagpur, and Doordarshan Kendra (DDK), Nagpur at the premises of
Doordarshan Kendra, Seminary Hills, Nagpur on Sunday.
The programme was organised in line with this year's International Day of Yoga theme, "Yoga
for Healthy Ageing", highlighting the importance of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental
well-being and healthy ageing. The event was registered under the nationwide Yoga Sangam
initiative.Among those present on the occasion were Smt. Rachana Gajbhiye, Assistant Director
(Programme), DDK Nagpur; Shri Avinash Nimje, Assistant Director (Engineering), DDK Nagpur;
and Shri Saurabh Khekde, Media and Communication Officer, PIB Nagpur (Field Publicity Officer,
Additional Charge). The dignitaries highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily
life, noting that it promotes holistic well-being and serves as an effective tool for maintaining
physical and mental health.
