Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways
This notification, S.O. 2407(E), issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on July 21, 2020, amends the Schedule of the National Highways Act of 1956. Specifically, it substitutes serial number 28 and its related entries in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Subsection ii, notification number S.O. 689(E), dated April 4, 2011. The amendment concerns the description of National Highway No. 9, which now details a route starting from its junction with NH7 near Malaut in Punjab, traversing through Haryana (Dabwali, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Hansi, Rohtak, Bahadurgarh), Delhi (excluding a portion of the ring road), Uttar Pradesh (Dasna, Moradabad, Rampur, Bilaspur), and Uttarakhand (Rudrapur, Sitarganj, Khatima, Tanakpur, Pithoragarh, Ogla, Askot, Dharchula, Tawaghat, Sirkha, Maipa, Garbyang) before terminating at Lipu Lekh Pass near the Indo-China border. S.O. 2407(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 2 of the National Highways
Act, 1956(48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of
the Government of India, in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide number S.O 689(E), dated, the 4th April, 2011, namely:-
