Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Surface Transport

444(अ), तारीख 12 िून, 1989 में जनम्नजलजखत और संिोधन करती ह,ै अथागत् :--
1. उि अजधसूचना के परै ा 2 म,ें तीसरे परंतुक के स्ट्थान पर, जनम्नजलजखत परंतुक रखा िाएगा, अथागत् :--

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th July, 2020
S.O. 2339(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (6) of section 41 of the Motor Vehicles Act,
1988 (59 of 1988), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of
Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Surface Transport number S.O.444(E), dated the 12th June, 1989,
namely:-
1. In the said notification, in Paragraph 2, for third proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:-
―PROVIDED ALSO that in all cases the letters and figures shall be painted in reflecting colours and shall be

(a) in the case of motor vehicles temporarily registered, in red on yellow ground;
(b) in the case of motor vehicles in the possession of dealers, in white on a red ground.‖.
2. In the said notification, after Paragraph 2, the following Paragraph shall be inserted, namely:-
―2A. Class of vehicles mentioned in column (2) of the Table below shall have the Alpha numeric colour
and Background colour mentioned in columns (3) and (4) of the Table below.
