The Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Commissionerate, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar,
celebrated the 9th GST Day on July 1 with a grand function at GST Bhawan, Chhatrapati
Sambhaji Nagar under the theme “सुगम कर व्यवा, सुशक्त भारत” (Simple Tax System, Empowered
India). The event recognised the contributions of taxpayers and departmental officers towards
strengthening the Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime and promoting voluntary tax
compliance.
Leading taxpayers under the CGST Commissionerate were felicitated for their exemplary
contribution to revenue collection during the financial year 2025–26 through timely tax
payment, return filing and compliance. Commendation certificates awarded by the Hon'ble Chief
Commissioner, Nagpur Zone, were also presented to two divisions and ten officers of the
Commissionerate for their dedicated service in the effective implementation of GST.
A proud moment for the Commissionerate was the recognition of Shri Deepak Ramniwas Gupta,
Superintendent, who was conferred the Certificate of Meritorious Service by the Central Board of
Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on the occasion of the 9th GST Day.
