Chief Electrical Inspector and Electrical Inspectors Rules, 2006 notified on 17.8.2006, the Central Government hereby appoints Shri M.K.Singhal, Chief Electrical Engineer, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, as Chief Electrical Inspector for Kochi Metro Rail Ltd. (KMRL), from the date of this Notification till his tenure in DMRC, subject to fulfillment of the Qualification and Condition mentioned in the above Rule.
This notification, S.O. 2296(E), issued by the Ministry of Power on August 10, 2015, appoints Shri M.K. Singhal, Chief Electrical Engineer, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), as Chief Electrical Inspector for Kochi Metro Rail Ltd. (KMRL). This appointment is made under subsection 1 of Section 162 of the Electricity Act, 2003, and is subject to the Qualifications, Powers and Functions for Chief Electrical Inspector and Electrical Inspectors Rules, 2006. Shri Singhal's tenure as Chief Electrical Inspector for KMRL will last until his tenure in DMRC concludes, contingent upon fulfilling the qualifications and conditions outlined in the aforementioned Rules. His powers and functions will encompass electrical works, installations, and rolling stock within KMRL's operational areas and under KMRL's control, adhering to the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) Measures relating to Safety and Electricity Supply Regulations, 2010. KMRL is responsible for ensuring that Shri Singhal is not associated with KMRL in any capacity, with the exception of his duties as Chief Electrical Inspector. NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th August, 2015
S.O. 2296(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) of Section 162 of the Electricity Act,
2003 (36 of 2003) read with Qualifications, Powers and Functions for Chief Electrical Inspector and Electrical
Inspectors Rules, 2006 notified on 17.8.2006, the Central Government hereby appoints Shri M.K.Singhal, Chief
Electrical Engineer, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, as Chief Electrical Inspector for Kochi Metro Rail Ltd. (KMRL),
from the date of this Notification till his tenure in DMRC, subject to fulfillment of the Qualification and Condition
mentioned in the above Rule.
The above mentioned officer shall exercise the powers and perform his functions in respect of electrical works,
electrical installations and electrical rolling stock in operation within the areas occupied by the KMRL or in respect of
works and all electrical installations under the control of KMRL/belonging to KMRL as per the procedure provided in
Central Electricity Authority (Measures relating to Safety and Electricity Supply) Regulations, 2010.
KMRL will ensure that Shri M. K. Singhal will not be the associated to KMRL as Chief Electrical Engineer or
in any capacity except task prescribed for as Chief Electrical Inspector.
The person appointed as Chief Electrical Inspector shall undergo such training as the Central Government may
consider necessary for the purpose and such training shall be completed to the satisfaction of the Government.
