restricted to 555 posts. The vacancies resulting
through natural attrition or otherwise in Geophysics
(Instrumentation) and Mineral Physics shall be
filled by recruitment in Geological Survey of India
Geophysics Service Group ‘A’ at JTS level. The
existing recruitment rules of Geophysics
(Instrumentation) and Mineral Physics shall
continue to be applicable for their respective
promotions till complete withering of Geophysics
(Instrumentation) and Mineral Physics. No new
recruitment shall take place in Geophysics
(Instrumentation) and Mineral Physics.
