This notification, issued by the Ministry of Railways, Railway Board on January 17, 2020, announces two key changes. No. 2020/E(GR)I/16/1.—Consequent upon grant of Organized Group ‘A’ status (OGAS) to RPF in the
light of Cabinet’s decision arising from Hon’ble Courts orders, RPF will be known as Indian Railway Protection
Force Service (IRPFS).

2. In pursuance of Cabinet’s decision dated 24.12.2019, the existing service of Indian Railway Medical
