ग. काय-ग काल
सजमजत का कायगकाल उसके गठन की तारीख से तीन िष ग ोगा, बिते दक –
1. सजमजत में नाजमत संसि सिस्ट्य िैसे ी संसि के सिस्ट्य न ीं र गें ,े इस सजमजत के भी सिस्ट्य न ीं र गें े।
2. सजमजत के सरकारी सिस्ट्य उस समय तक सिस्ट्य बने र गें े िब तक िे उस पि को धारण दकए हुए ैं,
जिसके कारण उन्द् ें सजमजत का सिस्ट्य बनाया गया ।ै
3. अिजध के बीच ररक् त हुआ स्ट्थ ान संबंजधत सिस्ट्य के स्ट्थ ान पर आन े िाले अजधकारी से भरा िाएगा और
य अजधकारी तीन िषग की अिजध के िेष समय के जलए सजमजत का सिस्ट्य र गे ा।
घ. सामान्द्य
सजमजत का मुख् यालय नई दिल् ली में ोगा, परन्द्तु सजमजत की बैठक दकसी अन्द्य स्ट्थान पर भी आयोजित
की िा सकती ।ै
ङ. यात्रा तथा अन्द्य भत्त े
सजमजत की बैठक में भाग लने े िाले गैर-सरकारी सिस्ट्य ों को रािभाषा जिभाग के दिनांक 22 िनिरी,
1987 के कायागलय ज्ञापन संख् या 11/20034/4/86-रा.भा.(क-2) में जनज त दििा-जनिेिों के अनुसार और भारत
सरकार द्वारा समय-समय पर संिोजधत जनधागररत िरों तथा जनयमों के अनसु ार यात्रा और िैजनक भत् ता दिया
िाएगा।

B. Functions
The functions of the Committee will be to advise the Ministry of Power in matters relating to the
progressive use of Hindi for Official work and allied issues falling within the frame-work of the Official
Language policy laid down by the Government of India.
C. Tenure
The tenure of the Committee will be three years from the date of its composition, provided that:-
1. A Member of Parliament nominated to the Committee shall cease to be a member of the Committee
as soon as he/she ceases to be a Member of Parliament.
2. Official members of the Committee shall continue as members as long as they hold office by virtue
of which they are the members of the Committee.
3. Any mid-term vacancy shall be filled up by the concerned member's successor in office, who shall
be a member of the Committee for the remaining term of three years.
D. General
The Headquarter of the Committee shall be at New Delhi but it may hold its meeting at any other
station also.
E. Travelling and Other Allowances
The Non-Official Members will be paid travelling and daily allowance for attending the meeting of
the Committee as per the guidelines contained in the Office Memorandum No. 11/20034/4/86-OL(A-2)
dated 22nd January, 1987 of Department of Official Language and in accordance with the prescribed rates
