Ministry of Cooperation Cooperative Godowns प्रव तथ: 04 AUG 2026 5:02PM by PIB Delhi Since the implementation of decentralized grain storage plan in Cooperative Sector from 31.05.2023, no such report has been received from the State of Uttar Pradesh. In order to ensure proper utilization of the godowns the employees of the PACS/Cooperative Societies have been imparted training in modern warehouse management organized by NABARD and WDRA in the state of Uttar Pradesh. However, no specific training request on modern warehouse management has been received so far from Jaunpur. The state can raise request for conduct of such training for their PACS/Cooperative Societies to NABARD and WDRA. In this regard, no such information/complaint has been received from the state of Uttar Pradesh. Decentralized storage plan in cooperative sector entails creation of various agri infrastructure including godowns, custom hiring centers, processing units, Fair Price Shops, cold storage etc., at Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS)/other cooperative societies level through convergence of various existing schemes of the Government of India (GoI), such as, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure Scheme (AMI), Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM), Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME). Unnao, Sonbhadra in Purvanchal and Jaunpur, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda, Jalaun, and Jhansi in Bundelkhand region are listed under Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY). The decentralised grain storage plan in Cooperative Sector is one of the components of Pradhan Mantri Dhan- Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY), complements promoting integrated agricultural infrastructure and value addition in rural areas. Under the plan the creation of storage infrastructure at PACS/other cooperative societies, coupled with primary processing and allied facilities, is expected to generate substantial employment opportunities. Jaunpur district can also participate and avail the benefit under the decentralized grain storage plan in cooperative sector with the approval of District Cooperative Development Committee (DCDC). Under the plan the detailed project report is sanctioned by the respective DCCB after scrutinizing all the requisite document and for availing the advance subsidy claim the DPR is verified by NABARD through their dedicated portal. After completion of the project, physical verification is conducted by respective bank and NABARD.
