CORRIGENDUM The Guidelines No. 8 in the Annexure to Government Order No. FEE 230 EPC 2017, dated 19.06.2020 officially published in the Extra Ordinary Gazette Part-1 at No. 213 of the Karnataka State Gazette dated 19th June 2020 and subsequent Corrigendum dated 21.07.2020 & 21.09.2020 shall be corrected and read as follows:
‘’8. The State Government shall appoint /depute a Member Secretary to the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board for a minimum period of two years.
The person to be so appointed or deputed shall have the following
qualifications: a. At least a Masters Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or any other such equivalent degree from a recognized university; and b. work experience in areas involving scientific, engineering or management aspects of environment protection and conservation.
Provided that if the State Government considers deputing a member of the Indian Administrative Service or Indian Forest Service as Member Secretary, he/she shall possess both the above qualifications and the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms shall continue the services of such officer as Member Secretary for a minimum period of two years.” Rest of the contents in the Annexure to the Government Order No. FEE 230 EPC 2017, dated
19.06.2020 and subsequent Corrigendum dated 21.07.2020 & 21.09.2020 shall remain unchanged.
