In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 27(3)(a) of the Representation
of the People act, 1950, Government of Karnataka, with concurrence of the Election
Commission of India, is pleased to direct that for the purposes of the Elections to
the Legislative Council of the State of Karnataka in the Graduate’s' Constituencies,
the qualifications mentioned in the gazettes specified below shall be deemed to be
equivalent to that of a graduate of a university in the territory of India. The following
