AND, WHEREAS the Tamil Nadu State Election Commission, after conducting an enquiry, has been confirmed that Tmt.K.Hemalatha, 9th Ward Member, Gudiyatham Panchayat Union, Vellore District having contractual benefits for the works undertaken in the said ward through M.K.Construction during the period 2021-2024, as the service tax for such works was paid by the company through the GST Number registered in her name and therefore opined that Tmt.K.Hemalatha, 9th Ward Member, Gudiyatham Panchayat Union, Vellore District is to be disqualified to continue as Member of the said Panchayat Union under clause (c) of sub-section (3) of section 38 of the said Act; NOW THEREFORE under section 41 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1994), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby decides that Tmt.K.Hemalatha, 9th Ward Member, Gudiyatham Panchayat Union, Vellore District has become disqualified from holding the office of Ward Member of the said Panchayat Union under clause (c) of sub-section (3) of section 38 of the said Act, as she has undertaken panchayat works through M.K.Construction, a company belonging to her husband Thiru.M.Karunanidhi.
