(cid:315)(cid:175)ೇಷ (cid:170)ಾಜ(cid:205) ಪ(cid:294)(cid:206)(cid:144)ೆ ¨Ás U À – 4ಎ 10 2025 21 1946) . 71 Part – IVA BENGALURU, MONDAY, 10, FEBRUARY , 2025 ( MAGHA , 21, SHAKAVARSHA, 1946) No. 71 GOVERNMENT OF KARNATAKA No.IDD 62 PSP 2024 Karnataka Government Secretariat, Vikasa Soudha, Bangalore, dated:10.02.2025 NOTIFICATION-I The draft of the following rules further to amend Karnataka Inland Vessels Rules, 2006, which the Government of Karnataka proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sections19,19R and 67 read with section 74 of the Inland Vessels Act, 1917 (Central Act 1 of 1917), is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of section 74 of the said to the information of all the persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after thirty days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Any objection or suggestion which may be received by the State Government from any person with respect to the said draft before the expiry of the period specified above, will be considered by the State Government. Objections or suggestions may be addressed to the Secretary to Government, Infrastructure Development, Ports and Inland Water Transport Department, Ground Floor, Vikasa Soudha, Bengaluru - 560 001. 1. Title and Commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the draft Karnataka Inland Vessels (Amendment) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Substitution of Schedule.- In the Karnataka Inland Vessels Rules 2006, in the Schedule, for Part “A”, Part “B”and Part “C” and the entries relating thereto the following shall be substituted namely:- (1)2 “SCHEDULE PART A (see rule 3(b)) TABLE OF SURVEY FEES For an Inland Steam Vessel of Fees payable by the owner to the which the gross registered Government of Karnataka (rule 12) tonnage (1) (2) 1 Does not exceed 10 tonnes 1000 2 Exceed 10 tonnes but does not 1500 exceed 20 tonnes 3 Exceed 20 tonnes but does not 2000 exceed 30 tonnes 4 Exceed 30 tonnes but does not 3000 exceed 50 tonnes 5 Exceed 50 tonnes but does not 4000 exceed 75 tonnes 6 Exceed 75 tonnes but does not 6000 exceed 100 tonnes 7 Exceed 100 tonnes but does not 10000 exceed 300 tonnes 8 Exceed 300 tonnes but does not 13000 exceed 600 tonnes 9 Exceed 600 tonnes but does not 16000 exceed 900 tonnes 10 Exceed 900 tonnes but does not 30000 exceed 1200 tonnes 11 Above 1200 tonnes Rs. 100 per GRT PART B (see rule 13(iii)) TABLE OF REGISTRATION FEES 1 On initial registration the scale of fees Rs. 2000 A 0-10 GRT payable will be B 10-20 GRT Rs. 3000 C 20-40 GRT Rs. 4000 Rs. 4000+ Rs. 50 D 40 GRT and above for each additional GRTR.N.I. No. RNP/KA/BGS/2202/2017-19 Licensed to post without prepayment WPP No. 297 3 For registration any vessels which @ Rs.50 per GRT subject to a minimum of has been registered under the Rs.6000/- 2 Merchant shipping Act 1894 as amended by any subsequent enactment Registration of alteration to a @ Rs.50 per GRT subject to a minimum of 3 vessel Rs.5000/- 4 Issue of a duplicate certificate @ Rs.1000 Registration as a result to transfer @ Rs.5000 5 of registry from any other state Registration as a result of transfer @ Rs.5000 6 of ownership within the same state 7 Issue of Provisional Certificate @ Rs. 1000 PART C (see rule 20) Appeal fee Appeal against the decision of Registering Authority (Not : @Rs.5000 refundable) Note: The rates specified in Schedule Part-A, Part-B and Part-C Column 2, shall be increased 5% annually. These rates will be reviewed after every 5 years. The annual escalation of 5% is fixed/considered as per the concurrence of Finance Department vide Note No. FD 450 Exp-1/2024 dated 02.12.2024 and Cabinet Note sub No. C/48/2025, Dated:30.01.2025.
