Impact Analysis

Stakeholder: Electronics Manufacturing Companies (Applicants) Impact Approved companies gain the authorization and framework to establish or expand high-tech manufacturing facilities. This includes approvals for major players such as Minda Instrument, Centum Electronics, and Mitsubishi Electric India to produce sub-assemblies, components, and capital goods. Action Required Approved applicants must proceed with facility construction, machinery installation, and production commencement to meet projected output and investment targets.

Stakeholder: Indian Workforce Impact The scheme creates massive employment opportunities, with nearly 75,000 direct jobs and 250,000 indirect jobs being generated across 15 states. Action Required Job seekers and skilled professionals in the electronics and engineering sectors should monitor for recruitment opportunities at the 54 plants currently operational or in advanced construction.

Stakeholder: Domestic Electronics Industry & Supply Chain Impact The industry benefits from a reduced dependence on imports for critical raw materials and components. The shift toward a "Swadeshi" value chain ensures a more stable and cost-effective local supply of items like anode materials and optical transceivers. Action Required Downstream manufacturers should begin integrating domestically produced components and raw materials into their production lines to support the self-reliant ecosystem.
