Impact Analysis

Electronic Hardware Manufacturers (EHTP Units) Impact Manufacturers benefit from reduced operational costs through duty-free imports and improved ease of doing business via simplified customs and digital clearances. Action Required Units should utilize the STPI digital platform for statutory services and apply for annual blanket import permissions to streamline their supply chain.

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) Impact As the implementing agency, STPI is responsible for providing statutory services and maintaining the single-window system without a dedicated fund allocation. Action Required STPI must continue to maintain the automated digital platform and conduct regular industry outreach and trade event participation to promote the scheme.

State Governments Impact States with EHTP units, particularly leaders like Karnataka and Maharashtra, see a significant contribution to their regional export economies and manufacturing infrastructure. Action Required States need to continue supporting the established units and collaborate with the Ministry to facilitate the approval of new units within their jurisdictions.
