**Summary:**
This Public Notice, No. 47/2023, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, effective March 7, 2024, announces the creation of a new Appendix 2Y under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023. This appendix lists Ministries/Departments whose notifications on mandatory Quality Control Orders (QCOs) are exempted by the DGFT for goods imported under Advance Authorisation and by Export Oriented Units (EOUs), provided these goods are utilized/consumed in the manufacture of export products.

S.O. (E): In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign
Trade Policy (FTP), 2023, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby created a new
Appendix i.e. Appendix 2Y under FTP, 2023 with immediate effect for notifying the list of
Ministries/Departments whose notifications on mandatory QCOs, that are exempted by the
DGFT for goods to be utilised/consumed in manufacture of export products.
