Ms. No. 189, Health and Family Welfare, 4th February 1984.] No. SRO B-62/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following rules:-- The rules hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 27th December 1979. RULES The General and Special Rules applicable to the holders of the permanent post in the Tamil Nadu Medical Subordinate Service shall apply to the holders of the temporary posts of Dialysis Technician Grade I and Grade II sanctioned from time to time for the Government Teaching Medical Institutions, subject to the modifications specified in the following rules:— 2. Constitution:—The posts shall each constitute a separate category in a distinct class of the said service. 3. Appointment:—Appointment to the posts specified on column (1) of the Table below shall be made by the methods specified in the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof:— TABLES Post Method of Appointment (1) (2) 1. Dialysis Technician Grade I (i) By promotion from the post of Dialysis Technician Grade II; or (ii) by transfer from any other class or Category; or (iii) recruitment by transfer from any other service; or (iv) by direct recruitment if no suitable candidate is available for appointment by the above methods. 2. Dialysis Technician Grade II (i) by promotion from any other class or category; or (ii) by recruitment by transfer from any other service; or (iii) by direct recruitment if no suitable candidates are available for appointment by the above methods. 4.Appointing authority:—The appointing authority for the posts shall be the Head of the Institution concerned. 5. Qualification:—(a) Age:— No person shall be eligible for appointment to the posts by direct recruitment if he has completed or will complete the age as indicated against the posts mentioned below on the first day of July of the year in which selection for appointment is made. Dialysis Technician Grade I 30 years. Dialysis Technician Grade II 20 years. (b) Other qualifications:— No person shall be eligible for appointment to the posts specified in column (1) of the table below unless he possesses the qualification specified in the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof:—Sep. 28, 2016] TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE 91 TABLE Post Qualification (1) (2) Dialysis Technician Grade I (i) By Promotion Minimum General Educational Qualification as prescribed in sub-rule I to part II of Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Service Rule; or A pass in S.S.L.C. or S.S.L.C. with eligiblility for college courses of study Must have experience for a period of not less 5 years as Dialysis Technician Grade II in the Government Medical Institution. (ii) By Transfer from any other Class or category B.Sc. with Physics as main and Chemistry as Ancillary Subject. Must have experience for a period of not less than 5 years in separating Artificial Kidney Machine. (iii) Direct Recruitment Must have passed B.Sc. Degree in Second Class with Physics as Main subject and Chemistry as Ancillary. Must posses a Diploma in Dialysis Technology issued by a recognised institution. (or) Must have experience in operating the Artificial Kidney Machine in a major Government / Private Hospital for a period of not less than 2 years. Dialysis Technician Grade II (i) By promotion from any other class or category and Recruitment by transfer from any other service Minimum General Educational qualification as prescribed in Schedule I to Part II of Tamil Nadu State & Subordinate Service rules. A pass in S.S.L.C. or S.S.L.C with eligibility for College Courses of study. Must have experience for a period of not less than 5 years as Laboratory Technician Grade II in any of the Government Medical Institutions. Provided that in respect of Laboratory Technicians Grade II who have served in Nephrology Department of a Hospital experience for a period of not less than 2 years will be sufficient. (ii) By direct recruitment (i) Minimum General Education qualification as prescribed in Schedule I to Part I of Tamil Nadu State Subordinate Service rules. A pass in S.S.L.C. or S.S.L.C. with eligibility for College Courses of study. (ii) Must possess a Diploma in Dialysis Technology issued by a recognized institution. (or) (iii) Must have practical Knowledge in operating the Artificial Kidney machine for a period of 3 years.92 TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE [Part III—Sec. 1(b) 6. Probation:—Every person appointed to the post by direct recruitment shall from the date on which he joins duty be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. 7. AMENDMENT In the said Special Rules, in rule 14, in the TABLE, against the entry ''Category 3(a) Assistant in the Departments of Secretariat other than the Law and the Finance Departments and the Governor's Secretariat” in column (1) and the corresponding entry “(ii) Recruitment by transfer from among the holders of the posts of Assistants and Junior Assistants in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service and the Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service” in column (2) thereof, for the entry “(ii) Service for a period of not less than five years either in the category of Junior Assistant or in the category of Assistant or in both the categories put together, in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service or in the Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service on the first day of August of the year in which the notification inviting applications for appointment is issued “in column (3), the entry” (ii) Service for a period of not less than three years after acquiring Bachelor's Degree, in the Category of Junior Assistant or in the category of Assistant or in both the categories put together, in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service or in the Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service on the first day of August of the year in which the notification inviting applications for appointment is issued” shall be substituted.
