In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Tamil Nadu Forest Act, 1882 (Tamil Nadu Act V of 1882), the
Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby declares the land within the land within the boundaries specified in the schedule below
as a reserved forest with effect from 25.03.2026.

North.- Starting from the bi-junction point of Kuthanachiar reserved forest and Survey Number 2051 of No.28,
Narayanathevanpatti Hill Village and thence the boundary generally runs south east and north east along the southern
boundary of Kuthanachiar reserved forest and Survey Numbers 68, 67, 69 and 70 of No.23, Megamalai Village and
reaches the trijunction point of Survey Numbers 70, 78 and 87 of No.23, Megamalai Village.
East.- Thence, the boundary generally runs towards south along the western boundary of Survey Numbers 78, 81,
88, 89, 90, partially 280, 1067, 1068, 1069, 1076, 186, 1078, 1080, 1081 and partially 280 of No.23, Megamalai Village
and the inter-state boundary of Tamil Nadu (Survey Number 2183 of No.28, Narayanathevanpatti Hill Village) and Kerala
(Periyar Tiger Reserve) reaching the bijunction point of Survey Number 2183 of No.28, Narayanathevanpatti Hill Village
and Kerala State (Periyar Tiger Reserve).
South.- Thence the boundary runs generally towards west, north and west along the inter-state boundary between
Kerala and Tamil Nadu (Survey Numbers 2183, 2181, 2182, 2082, 2083, 2081, 2080, 2079, 2078, 2077, 2076 and 2178
of No.28, Narayanathevanpatti Hill Village) and reaches the tri-junction point of Kerala State (Periyar Tiger Reserve),
Vannathiparai reserved forest and Survey Number 2178 of No.28, Narayanathevanpatti Hill Village.
West.- Thence the boundary generally runs towards north and north - east along the eastern boundary of
Vannathiparai reserved forest, Surulipatti reserved forest and Kuthanatchiyar reserved forest till it reaches the starting
point.
