Subject : Exemption for export of pulses to the Republic of Maldives.
S.O. 921(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation)
Act, 1992 (No . 22 of 1992) as amended, read with Para 1.3 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009—2014, the Central Government
hereby makes the following amendment in the Notification No. 15 (RE-2006)/2004-09, dated 27.06.2006 read with Notification
No. 38 (RE-2012)/2009—2014, dated 25.03.2013.
2. Export of pulses had been prohibited vide Notification No. 15 (RE-2006)/2004—09, dated 27.06.2006 which had
initially been imposed for a period of 6 months and is presently extended till 31.03.2014 vide Notification No. 38 (RE - 2012)/
2009—2014, dated 25.03.2013.
3. Now, the following quantities of pulses is being allowed for export to the Republic of Maldives under bilateral trade
agreement between Government of India and Government of Maldives during the period 2014-15 to 2016-17 which is an
exception to the prohibition imposed by the above notifications:

4. Name of the Public Sector Undertaking authorized to export above quantity of pulses will be notified separately
through a public notice.
5. Effect of this notification:
Export of pulses to the Republic of Maldives has been permitted for the years 2014-15 to 2016-17 as per the quantities
indicated in the Table in Para 3 above.
