Subject: - Extension of date for restriction on export of sugar beyond 31‘ October, 2023.
S.O. (E) The Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 read with Section
5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992), as amended, read
with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, in partial modification of Notification
No.40/2015-2020 dated 28" October, 2022, hereby extends the date of ‘Restriction’ on export of
Sugar (Raw Sugar, White Sugar, Refined Sugar and Organic sugar) under HS Codes 1701 14 90
and 17019990 beyond 315 October, 2023 till further orders.
2. This restriction is not applicable to Sugar being exported to EU and USA under CXL and
TRQ quota as per prescribed procedure in the respective Public Notices.
3. Effect of this Notification:
Restriction on export of Sugar (Raw Sugar, White Sugar, Refined Sugar and Organic sugar) is
extended beyond 31.10.2023 till further. Other conditions will remain unchanged.
