NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 17th September, 2025
S.O. 4218(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment
(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986) and in pursuance of the notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile
Ministry of Environment and Forests, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section
(ii), vide number S.O. 1533(E), dated the 14th September, 2006, the Central Government on considering it necessary
and expedient, so to do for that puposes of the said Act, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of
the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change vide number S.O. 4361 (E),
dated the 19th September, 2022, namely:-
In the said notification,-
(a) in paragraph 2, for the words “three years”, the words “three years and three months” shall be substituted;
(b) in paragraph 6, for the words “three years”, the words “three years and three months” shall be substituted.
