CHANDRASHEKHAR: Will the Minister of Heavy Industries be pleased to state: (a) subsidies disbursed under FAME-II, data for the last three years, year-wise, State-wise; (b) electric vehicles supported, data for the last three years, category-wise, year-wise, State-wise; and (c) issues flagged regarding eligibility or misuse, data for the last three years, year-wise, State-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES (SHRI BHUPATHIRAJU SRINIVASA VARMA) (a): The year-wise and category-wise details of the subsidy (demand incentive) provided to buyers in form of an upfront reduction in purchase price of the electric vehicle, under FAME-II scheme, is as under : - Amount in Rs. (b): The year-wise and category-wise, Number of electric vehicles supported (demand incentive provided) under FAME-II during the last three years is as under:- No. of vehicles incentivised under FAME-II Scheme EV Category FY 2022-23 FY 2023-24 FY 2024-25 Total e-2W 2,27,563 8,04,175 2,58,641 12,90,379 e-3W 22,169 76,183 34,436 1,32,788 e-4W 2,200 12,380 5,984 20,564 Total 2,51,932 8,92,738 2,99,061 14,43,731 No state-wise allocation has been done under the Scheme; therefore the data is not centrally maintained.-2- (c): The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) had received complaints against 17 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) under FAME-II for non-compliance with Phased Manufacturing Programme (PMP) guidelines. After examination of reports submitted by testing agencies, six OEMs were found to be in violation of PMP norms. Out of these six OEMs, entire demand incentive along with interest was recovered from three OEMs, while the remaining three OEMs which refused to refund the wrongfully availed incentive to the Government, have been deregistered from FAME-II scheme in FY 2023-24. Issues are examined OEM-wise. No state-wise data for the issues reported is maintained under FAME-II. The FAME-II scheme has concluded on 31st March, 2024. ******
