The Food Corporation of India (FCI), Regional Office Maharashtra, has commenced
the sale of Rice and Wheat under the Open Market Sale Scheme (Domestic)
[OMSS (D)] through dedicated movement via e-auction, aimed at augmenting
market supplies and controlling rising food prices.
Sale of Rice under OMSS (D)
FCI, Regional Office Maharashtra, has been offering Rice for sale under OMSS (D)
from the 1st week of August 2025. For the upcoming e-auctions scheduled on
14.01.2026 and 15.01.2026, a total quantity of 10,000 MT of Rice is being
offered from the Maharashtra Region.
In addition, under OMSS (D) through dedicated movement, FCI Maharashtra is
offering 90,000 MT of Rice stocks, comprising:
50,000 MT Rice, and
40,000 MT Non-FRK CMR Rice with 10% broken, including
10,000 MT from Punjab, and
30,000 MT from Andhra Pradesh,
to be moved through dedicated rail movement for the auctions scheduled on
14.01.2026 and 15.01.2026.
