A two-day “Flameless Indoor Hot Air Balloon” (FIHAB-2026) Workshop-cum-Competition will be
organized on April 25 and 26, 2026 at the Nehru Science Centre, with an aim for promoting
experiential learning and innovation among students of Class IX and above.
The initiative seeks to provide participants with a unique hands on opportunity to design and
fabricate indoor hot air balloons using safe, flameless technology. By blending theoretical
understanding with practical application, the programme is designed to strengthen students’
grasp of key scientific principles including geometry, buoyancy, and thermal science.
