Final Call for Media Registration: MIFF 2026 Media Accreditation Portal
reopens for two days to accommodate last-minute applications
:Mumbai, June 9, 2026
In view of the overwhelming requests received from journalists, media
professionals, and film critics across the country, it has been decided to reopen
the Media Accreditation Portal for the 19th Mumbai International Film Festival
(MIFF 2026) for a limited period from 10th June to 11th June 2026 to
facilitate additional registrations.
This special window offers a final opportunity for media persons who missed
the earlier deadline to secure their accreditation for one of the most celebrated
cinematic events in the region. No further extensions will be granted after 11th
June, 2026.
Scheduled to be held from June 15 to 21, 2026, at the NFDC premises on
Gopalrao Deshmukh Marg, Mumbai, the 19th edition of MIFF promises a vibrant
week of screenings, discussions, masterclasses, industry interactions, and
cultural exchanges.
Media representatives are strongly encouraged to complete their registration
within the reopening period to gain access to festival screenings, press
interactions, exclusive media events, and networking opportunities.
The Media Accreditation Portal will remain open only from June 10 and June
11, 2026. This is the last and final chance for media professionals to register
for MIFF 2026.

Recognized as South Asia’s oldest and largest film festival dedicated to non-
feature cinema, the Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) has long stood
as a vibrant celebration of documentary, short fiction, and animation
filmmaking. Established in 1990 and organized under the aegis of the Ministry
of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, MIFF has grown into a
prestigious international platform that attracts filmmakers, artists, and cinema
enthusiasts from around the world.
The 19th edition of MIFF promises an immersive and enriching cinematic
experience, featuring a thoughtfully curated lineup of acclaimed international
films alongside an exciting array of industry-focused initiatives. The 19th edition
of the Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF) Competitive Section has
received 1,459 film entries from 47 countries, including India. The festival
showcases films in more than 42 Indian languages and over 30 languages from
outside India, reflecting its global reach and cultural diversity. Featuring works
by acclaimed filmmakers from around the world, the festival will present some
of the finest documentaries, short fiction films, animations, debut director films,
and student films. Alongside the screenings, the 2nd edition of Doc Bazaar,
enriching masterclasses, and an Open Forum by IDPA will further enhance the
cinematic and creative exchange at the festival.
