NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 22nd January, 2025
S.O. 363(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railway
(Railway Board), S.O. No 4870(E) dated 11th November, 2024 published in Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II,[भाग II—खण् ड 3(ii)] भारत का रािपत्र : असाधारण 3
Section 3, Sub Section (ii) on dated 11th November, 2024 (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) under sub-
section (i) of section 20A of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central
Government, declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for
execution, maintenance and operation of the Special Railway Project Mau-Tarighat New Railway line Project 51
Km Railway bridge with road in the District Ghazipur in the State of Utter Pradesh;
And, whereas, the substance of the said notification was published in the daily Hindi newspapers "Dainik
Jagran" Varanasi dated 20.11.2024 &"Times of India" Varanasi dated 20.11.2024 under sub-section (4) of section
20A of the said Act;
And, whereas, not a single objection received in the office of Competent Authority in prescribed period of
30 days from the publication in newspaper.
And, whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20E of the said Act, the Competent Authority has
submitted its report to the Central Government.
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the report of the Competent Authority, namely, Additional District
Magistrate, (Finance & Revenue), Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1)
of section 20E of the Railways Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the Schedule
annexed here to shall be acquired for the a foresaid purpose.
And, further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 20E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the Schedule annexed here
to shall vest absolutely in the Central Government free from all encumbrances.
