**Policy Summary: Assignment of Lead Bank Responsibility Following Formation of New Districts in Andhra Pradesh**
This Reserve Bank of India (RBI) notification, reference RBI20222385 FIDD.CO.LBS.BC.No.802.08.001/2022-23 dated July 07, 2022, addresses the assignment of Lead Bank responsibility for the 13 new districts formed in the State of Andhra Pradesh, as notified by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on April 03, 2022. The notification specifies the Lead Bank for each newly created district, along with the corresponding revenue divisions from the erstwhile districts.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has notified formation of 13 new districts in the State of
Andhra Pradesh vide Gazette Notifications No.472-497 dated April 03, 2022. Accordingly, it
