**Summary:**
This Reserve Bank of India (RBI) notification (RBI202223138 FIDD.CO.LBS.BC.No.1202.08.001202223) dated November 17, 2022, addresses the assignment of Lead Bank responsibility for the four new districts formed in the State of Nagaland. The Government of Nagaland officially created these districts via Gazette Notifications No. NO.GABICOMDIST.ADMIN2019 Pt1116, 117, and 118 (dated December 20, 2021) and Gazette Notification No NO.GAB ICOMDIST.ADMIN2019 Pt1 (dated January 20, 2022).
The Lead Banks for the newly created districts are as follows:
* **Tseminyu** (formerly a subdivision of Kohima): State Bank of India (Working Code: 01K)
* **Niuland** (formerly Medziphema under Dimapur): State Bank of India (Working Code: 01L)
* **Chumoukedima** (formerly Dhansiripar and Seithekema EAC Circle): Bank of Baroda (Working Code: 01M)
* **Shamator** (formerly Chessore and Sotokur EAC Circle and Tsurungto EAC Circle under Tuensang and Kiphire): State Bank of India (Working Code: 01N)
The notification also allots District Working Codes for BSR reporting purposes. The Lead Banks for the remaining districts in Nagaland remain unchanged.

The Government of Nagaland has notified formation of four new districts in the state of
Nagaland vide Gazette Notifications No. NO.GAB-I/COM/DIST.ADMIN/2019 (Pt-1)/116, 117
and 118, all dated December 20, 2021 and Gazette Notification No NO.GAB-
I/COM/DIST.ADMIN/2019 (Pt-1) dated January 20, 2022. Accordingly, it has been decided to
