यह पररकल्पना की गई ह ै दक केंद्रीय सरकार, मुख्य आयुक्त, दिव्ांगिन के परामिश से दिव्ांगिनों के जलए जनयम तैयार
करेगी जिनम ें समुजचत प्रौद्योजगदकयों और प्रणाजलयों तथा िहरी और ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों म ें िनता को प्रिान की गई अन्य
सुजिधाओं और सेिाओं सजहत भौजतक िातािरण, पररिहन, िानकारी और संचार व्िस्ट्था तक पहचं के मानकों को
जनधाशररत दकया िाएगा।
और िबदक, जित्तीय सेिाएं जिभाग, जित्त मंत्रालय बैंककंग क्षेत्र से संबंजधत सुजिधाओं और सेिाओं तक दिव्ागं िनों
की पहचं संबंधी आिश्यकताओं को पूरा करन े के उद्देश्य स े जहतधारकों और मख्ु य आयक्तु , दिव्ांगिन के परामि श स े “बैंककंग
क्षेत्र के जलए अजभगम्यता मानक और दििाजनििे ” तैयार करेगा।
अब, जित्तीय सेिाएं जिभाग, जित्त मंत्रालय एतद्द्वारा “बैंककंग क्षत्रे के जलए अजभगम्यता मानक और दििाजनििे ” को
अजधसूजचत करता ह ैऔर यह https://financialservices.gov.in पर उपलब्ध ह।ै

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd February, 2024
F. No. 7/32/2022-BOA-I.—Whereas section 40 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016(49 of
2016) envisages that the Central Government shall, in consultation with the Chief Commissioner for Persons with
Disabilities, formulate rules for persons with disabilities laying down the standards of accessibility for the physical
environment, transportation, information and communications, including appropriate technologies and systems, and
other facilities and services provided to the public in urban and rural areas;
And whereas, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, with intent to address accessibility
needs of persons with disabilities in respect of the facilities and services pertaining to Banking Sector, in consultation
with the stakeholders and office of the Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, formulated the
“Accessibility Standards and Guidelines for Banking Sector”;
Now, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance hereby notifies the “Accessibility Standards and
Guidelines for Banking Sector” and the same is available at https://financialservices.gov.in .
