Demonstrating the impact of support under the National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students
(NFSC) Scheme, Tarun Kumar, a 35-year-old scholar from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, overcame
financial and social challenges to complete his research and move towards a more stable academic and
professional future.
Before receiving assistance under the NFSC Scheme, Tarun faced difficulty in meeting tuition fees,
hostel charges, research expenses, the cost of books and daily living expenses. His family's limited
