GRADUATES’, TEACHERS’ CONSTITUENCIES AND BY THE MEMBERS OF THE
LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY – NOTIFICATION UNDER SECTION 74 OF THE
REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE ACT, 1951 (43 OF 1951) REGARDING THE
NAMES OF MEMBERS ELECTED TO THE COUNCIL - PUBLISHED.

The following notification dated:30th March, 2025 is published:-
NOTIFICATION
Whereas, in pursuance of the Notification issued by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh on
03.02.2025 under Section 16 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) &
consequent Notification by the Election Commission of India under Section 30 and Section 56
of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) fixing the schedule for election to 02
Graduates’ and 01 Teachers’ Council Constituencies, Elections have been held on 27.02.2025
for the purpose of filling the seats of the members of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council
from 02 Graduates’ and 01 Teachers’ Constituencies (East-West Godavari Graduates’
Constituency, Krishna-Guntur Graduates’ Constituency and Srikakulam-Vizianagaram-
Visakhapatnam Teachers’ Constituency), who are retiring on the 29th March, 2025 on the
expiration of their term of office;
2. And whereas, the poll has been held on 27.02.2025 and the counting of votes was taken
on 03.03.2025 in respect of 02 Graduates’ and 01 Teachers’ Constituencies. The Returning
Officers of the said Graduates’ and Teachers’ Constituencies have declared the results after

3. And whereas, Notification has been issued by the Governor of Andhra Pradesh on
03.03.2025 under Section 16 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) &
consequent Notification by the Election Commission of India under sub-section (1) of Section
39 and Section 56 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951) fixing the
schedule for election by the Members of the Legislative Assembly for election to the five (5)
seats in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council by the Members of the Legislative Assembly,
who are retiring on the 29th March, 2025 on the expiration of their term of office;
4. And whereas, the election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council by the Members of
the Legislative Assembly was uncontested and five (5) members have been declared as elected
on 13.03.2025 by the Returning Officer;
5. Now, therefore, in pursuance of Section 74 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951
(43 of 1951), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby notifies the names of the members
elected for the said Council Constituencies and by the members of the Legislative Assembly
along with their party affiliation below:
