[G.O.Rt.No. 91, Energy (OP.A3), 26th August, 2019.] NOTIFICATION Whereas, the Government have already been declared any service under the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited and two distribution companies (APEPDCL & APSPDCL) as an essential service as defined in sub clause (v) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971, (A.P. Act No.20 of 1971); And whereas, the Government have satisfied that it is necessary and expedient to prohibit strikes in public interest, in any services under the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited and two distribution Companies (APEPDCL & APSPDCL) for a period of Six (6) months; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (3) of Section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (A.P. Act 20 of 1971), the Government hereby prohibit strikes in all the services under the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited and two Distribution Companies (APEPDCL & APSPDCL) in Andhra Pradesh for a period of six (6) months with immediate effect.
