ORDER:
The Government of India launched the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli
Yojana on 13th February, 2024, which aims to populaize tine adoption tf
rooftop solar in the country. One of the critical components of the scheme is
to undertake the saturation of Government buildings under
the
administrative control of Central Ministries and State Levet Government
Departments, Organizations with rooftop solar latest by the end of 2025.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energr (MNRE) is coordinating this
effort on behalf of the Government of India approved by the Government, a
Steering Committee headed by Cabinet Secretary .i national level will
monitor the progress of the scheme, especially the saturation of Government
buildings and provide guidance for its successful implementation.

Given the scope of ambition of the target and the stringent deadline,
an intensive effort needs to be undertaken on priority. For saluration, it is
essential to initially list all buildings/complexes under the
State
Government Departments/ Organizations, it was advised to make a baseline
assessment of the total potential rooftop solar capacity on the availability of
appropriate roof space and technical requirements rooftop solar

[n order to identify the Govt. buildings/Complexes/Institutions, make

hereby constitute a committee with the following composition:-

4. The Committee constituted in para (3) above, shall submit its report
within 15 days so as to take further action by the Government and submit a
report to Govt of India.
5. The Chaiffnan & Managing Directors of DISCOMs/ Vice Chairman &
Managing Director, NREDCAP, Tadepalli, Guntur shall take necessary
action accordingly.
