[G.O.Ms.No.30, Energy, Infrastructure & Investment (Ports II) 19th September, 2018.] NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 4 and 6 of the Andhra Pradesh Minor Ports Landing and Shipping Fees Act, 1885, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following Amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Landing and Shipping Fees Rules 1972, issued in G.O.Ms.No.12, Public Works (B) Department, dated 6th January, 1972 as subsequently amended. AMENDMENT In the said Rules, for Rule 4, the following shall be substituted namely ;- 4 (A) Shipping fee will be paid for Over Dimensional Cargo (ODC) and Off Shore Project cargo as per the existing G.O.Ms.No.06, I&.I, (Ports. II), Dept., Dated : 24-07-2015. (B) For other cargo, Lighterage levy will be paid instead of Shipping Fee, Landing Fee will be collected in the Port of discharge. [1]2 ANDHRA PRADESH GAZETTE EXTRAORDINARY [Part-I The following Lighterage charges shall be collected for Ship-To-Ship (STS) transfer of Cargo in the Territorial waters of Andhra Pradesh as mentioned above : Cargo Type Lighterage Charges Other Cargo Rs. 5.00 Per Metric Ton CONDITIONS : (1) Fraction of a Ton below 500 Kgs will be charged at half rate and those of and over 500 Kgs will be charged at full rate. (2) All safety (including Life Saving Appliance & Fire Fighting Appliance) and precautionary measures are to be complied with, before and after handling the Cargos as per the Best Practices existing. (3) “The Importers/Handling agents and Masters of the vessels shall be fully responsible for all the damages that take place during Cargo handling”.
